My EP In the Garden consists of three tracks: In the Garden, Lullaby in a Dream, and Soul Wave. With this collection, I aimed to create a small musical journey toward rediscovering a state of purity and freedom, free from social constraints. Through composition and the piano, I sought to explore and capture this untouched essence.
It was a great honor to be part of this compilation with Aemeralds, alongside extraordinary female composers from around the world. I contributed to this all-female album The Sound of Female Neoclassic with two pieces.
The first, titled Among the People, has a particularly melancholic tone, as it reflects the feeling of loneliness we sometimes experience, even when surrounded by many people. Often, it’s those closest to us who don't understand us, making the loneliness even more painful.
The second piece, Just for Me, is more serene. I wrote it with thoughts of those moments of inner peace and activities that calm the mind, like enjoying a coffee alone, petting your cat, or walking along the shoreline. I would like to wish myself and all women many moments of pure tranquility, not just on March 8th, but every day of the year.
The album Reminiscence, produced by Raighes Factory, is a collection of the EPs Reminiscence I, II, and III. It features a blend of classical piano compositions by renowned composers such as Domenico Cimarosa, Domenico Scarlatti, and Baldassarre Galuppi, interspersed with my original compositions, inspired by these classical masters. As an Italian, it was a pleasure to delve into the world of composers who lived in my homeland and create nostalgic melodies for tracks like Memory, Space, Lost Lights, Gleam, Distant Image, and White Desire. Once again, I chose the felt piano, whose soft and intimate sound allows me to express a more authentic interpretation.
I wrote Empty Houses during my summer stay in a small village in southern Italy. I love this secluded place among the Pollino mountains, where our house is not accessible by car. There, I truly reconnect with nature. Many of the houses are now abandoned, and it is this very aspect that inspired me to compose this piece.
Between February and April 2023, I released five singles with the label Aemeralds: Absence, Brother's Waltz, Melancholy, Shadow Dust, and Broken Dream. These tracks convey feelings of darkness, sadness, and nostalgia, often with a melancholic tone. When I explore minor keys, I experience a profound emotional truth and a deep connection to my inner experiences.
